After you have completed 12 sessions, you have the opportunity to go onto a Lampton Leisure reduced membership for 12 months.

Initial Consultation

Before starting your exercise on the referral journey, you will undergo an initial consultation with a qualified exercise referral instructor. This consultation will be around 15 minutes where you will be asked several questions and your health check may be completed within this time, if your health assessment is not completed in the initial consultation this will be completed in your first session. This allows our instructors to set out a specific program for your needs.

Session 1-12

The first 12 weeks are weekly supervised sessions with your instructor booked in advance of your initial appointment. The sessions for the first 12 weeks may be on a 1:1 basis, group sessions in the gym or a class environment. In addition to having your weekly appointment with your instructor, you can also access other activities within the centre, such as group exercise classes, regular gym sessions and swimming at £3.55. Please check with your instructor that your condition will allow you to take part in other activities outside of your weekly appointments with your instructor. Your sessions will be based around your needs which are identified from your initial consultation.

Initial appointments: These are booked directly by Morelife who have received the referral from your Health Professional.

Group Class: The class is delivered in the studio as a group session. The classes are structured and delivered appropriately to the client’s condition and needs.

Group Gym: The group gym sessions are delivered in a class-type format as well as a format where the participant can work out independently.

1:1 Gym: The one-to-one gym sessions are for those with higher needs. They are then booked into a group session when they have progressed from the one-to-one gym sessions.

Aqua: This is a group session in the swimming pool structured and delivered appropriately to the client’s condition and needs

From 12 to 24 weeks, the sessions are unsupervised, where you can choose either swimming, the gym or group exercise classes and come as often as you like.

After 12 weeks you can opt for the health & wellbeing membership of £26.65 a month or you can still choose the £3.55 Pay As You Go rate up to the end of the 24-week programme. Please speak with your Exercise on Referral instructor or a member of the reception team about the £26.65 a month membership.

After 24 weeks you can carry on enjoying the facilities and activities for £26.65 a month. This is a monthly direct debit membership available for up to 1 year. After 1 year or if you choose to cancel the membership within the 12months it will revert to the regular pay as you go membership prices or the concession prices if you are eligible for these.

The £3.55 rate will no longer be available after 24 weeks and this will also revert to the standard pay-as-you-go rate or concession rate if you are eligible for this.

Please speak to reception about the membership options or please visit the Lampton Leisure website.

After you have completed your 12 sessions, or 12 month reduced membership must have a 6-month break prior to being re referred by your GP. You can still use the facilities within Lampton Leisure but on a pay as you go or normal priced membership.

It is better to stay with the same instructor through the first 12 weeks as they would have met with you for your initial appointment and chatted about your conditions and what activity you like to do. They will then know your preferences and what exercises you are able to do during the first 12 weeks.

If you are not happy with your programme, please speak to your exercise referral instructor to discuss changes.

If you are unhappy with anything relating to our exercise referral program and wish to discuss it further, please contact paula.vincent@lamptongroup.co.uk

It is better to keep to the same day and time for all your appointments, as this will be with the same instructor who knows your conditions, ability and preferences for exercise. This will be at a different time than your initial appointment, however, your instructor can let you know what days and times are available for the rest of the 12 weeks of the programme to fit with your availability.
