Health & Wellbeing Coaching

How can we help you?

We provide programmes and services to individuals that will help them change their behaviours and make a difference in their overall health and well-being.

What is Health & Wellbeing Coaching?

At Healthy Hounslow, we believe that everyone’s journey to better health is different, so we don’t use a one-size-fits-all approach. Our Health and Wellbeing Coaches are here to help people make lasting changes, whether it’s moving more or handling daily stress.

Our coaches are trained in helping people change their habits. They work with individuals to set personal goals, increase motivation, and take control of their health.

We focus on prevention by offering one-to-one support, giving people the tools and confidence to take an active role in their health. Our coaches will guide and support you to reach your own health and well-being goals.

Eligibility

The health and wellbeing coaching programme will provide support to those who live, work, study and/or are registered with a GP in Hounslow.

How we work

You will be booked in for an initial consultation with one of our coaches and then you will have up to 10 regular follow-up sessions. Each session will include elements of goal setting and behaviour change techniques.

Goal setting – involves working with you to create clear, personalised, and achievable health and wellbeing objectives. Behaviour change techniques use strategies like motivation-building, self-monitoring, and habit-forming to help you stay committed and make lasting lifestyle changes.

Client stories and testimonials

Raj’s story

Raj was referred to our Adult Weight Management, Cook and Eat, and Health Coaching services. She had been living alone and battling depression since the loss of her mother, which led to unhealthy eating habits, including frequent takeaways and ready meals. Together, we worked to improve her diet by introducing healthier food choices and techniques to curb her cravings. One of the first steps we took was removing all takeaway apps from her phone, which encouraged her to start cooking and storing meals. This not only reduced her reliance on takeaways but also gave her a sense of control over her eating habits.

Additionally, we focused on increasing her physical activity, particularly by setting small, manageable goals to help her leave the house and increase her step count. By the end of our sessions, Raj had made significant progress. She was regularly volunteering at a local charity shop, no longer relying on food delivery apps, and was well on her way to living a healthier and happier life.
