Self-Care is the Little Things we do to Look After our own Mental Health
Finding what self-care works for you
If you’re not sure what to do for self-care, or how to figure out what works for you, you could start by asking yourself these questions:
- What can I do to make me feel better?
- What helps me recharge?
- What helps me forget about my problems?
- Are my needs right now emotional, physical or practical?

Simple ideas for self-care
- A long soak in the bath
- Eating a nutritious meal
- Going for a walk or a run
- Reading a book
- Exploring nature
- A yoga class
- Listening to music
- Catching up with friends
- Cleaning your living space
- Drinking water and staying hydrated
- Writing in a journal
