the Park
Explore Lampton Park this June!
Grab your picnic and come and get involved in a variety of FREE outdoor health activities from Tai Chi, 5-aside football, food workshops, tennis, painting, competitions, outdoor games, yoga, treasure hunts, singing for the brain, and much more on Saturday, 15th June, 11 am to 3 pm.
There will also be a huge range of Health and Community Stalls, plus Free health checks on the day.
All activities are FREE and have been designed by health and community partners to offer something fun for all ages. You can:
- Hop on a smoothie bike and make a refreshing drink whilst you cycle
- Join outdoor Tai Chi and yoga sessions
- Enjoy the Brentford Football Club Community Sports Trust inflatable 5-a-side football pitch
- Embrace nature, and learn how to grow your own fruits and vegetables
- Dance to the beat of African drums and the Island rhythms of Caribbean Steel pans
- Centre your mind with Baduanjin qigong (a mind and body exercise using meditation)
- Take part in tennis taster sessions
- Test your knowledge on a range of health topics, quizzes and challenges
- Take part in a Nature Treasure hunt
- Share your voice in dementia friendly ‘Singing for the Brain’ sessions
- Experience live cooking demonstrations
- Relax in the sunshine and participate in a painting and sketching session
- And much more!
A range of health professionals will be available on the day to provide helpful advice and guidance on how we can all support long-term health. There will also be leads from support groups highlighting the easy ways to access their services in the borough.
The day will finish with a free prize draw!
The event is being delivered by the Hounslow Borough Based Partnership in collaboration with NHS partners, Hounslow Council and voluntary and community partners.
